You're So Sweet

For the Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge #145 this week, I made a Valentine of sorts. I say that because it has no hearts on it - just happened that way.

I decided to make the card a little different by creating a flap-style card front. The card base front was trimmed away by 1" on each side and a die cut floral band was adhered to the remaining strip. The inside of the card was lined with white cardstock stamped with pink and black images.

On a panel of white cardstock, five butterflies were punched out . The panel was adhered to a panel of pink and then a panel of black. The five butterflies were heat embossed with silver embossing powder, adhered to the panel with wings folded up. This panel was adhered to the front strip with Dimensionals. The sentiment was stamped on white, adhered to pink, then to black. A corner punch was used to achieve the design on the sentiment banner. It was backed with Dimensionals and adhered to the front strip. Rhinestones were added to the die cut band, the sentiment banner and the butterflies.

  1. Beautiful card...love the butterflies and colors. Unique in that you used the cut out panel on the front of your card so that both the inside and outside of the card have your personalized stamped design.
