Clean and simple cards are tricky for me. I am not sure when there is too much stuff to be considered as staying within the boundaries. But here goes...
A flower was stamped with Versamark ink on watercolor paper then heat embossed using pearl embossing powder. Using ZIG watercolor markers and an Aquapen, the image was colored, allowed to dry, then fussy cut and backed with clear foam tape. On a panel of white cardstock, the grunge mark was stamped and the flower adhered.
A panel of plum cardstock was adhered to the white card base. A panel of yellow cardstock was offset onto the plum, then the white was adhered, also offset. The inside of the card was decorated by stamping the same image but in plum ink.

ReplyDeleteWow, this is gorgeous Mel, and what a great take on the sketch.
ReplyDeleteYou'd think when a sketch is so simple, it's easy, but it's not. You did a great job in pairing up with the inspiration photo
What a perfect CAS card... simple cards (or making them LOOK simple) is not easy. Love the single flower with its depth and the background adds a lot to give the viewer's eye a place to focus. Setting the background slightly off adds so much to your card. Terrific :)
