10/04/2017 Update: Top Three Award at Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge #231.
Seems as if it has been forever since I made and posted a challenge card. The layout was provided by a sketch challenge. The colors were for a color challenge but I got carried away with too many colors.
The image was stamped and die cut. The stamp set is a multi-step set but I wasn't happy with it so using additional dye inks and an aqua pen, I watercolored the flowers and leaves. The paper is regular cardstock so I had to be cautious with the volume of water.
A panel of coral cardstock was embossed with butterflies. Onto a white card base, panels of green & embossed coral cardstock were adhered. The floral image was adhered with foam tape. Gold Stickles were added to the flower centers. The sentiment on the card front was die cut and adhered. The inside was decorated with a punched butterfly image and large Happy Birthday sentiment.
I am submitting to the challenges listed below:
1. Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge #231
2. Aud Sentiments Challenge #189 (Use a two-word
sentiment.)
3. Just Us Girls Challenge #413 (Use die cut words.)

Love the single floral stem that you chose to represent the flowers along the side (I’m biased because I have the same stamp and I LOVE IT!) Your watercoloiring is fabulous and the embossed butterflies create a soft and gentle background. Beautiful card :) Thanks for sharing your talent with us at Atlantic Hearts - always look forward to your designs.
ReplyDeleteThe embossed coral panel is gorgeous, and I love the sprig of lilies! Just beautiful. Thanks for playing along with the Atlantic Hearts Sketch.
