The Spooky Cat

Welcome to my blog! Halloween is almost here. I have never considered it an important holiday but it seems that in the world of paper crafting it is very popular. Over at the Double Trouble Blog, the biweekly Challenge #41 is in full swing. We are partnering with Crafting Happiness. Our challenge began today, Monday, October 21, and will end on Sunday, November 3, 2019. Our partner has two weekly challenges during this time. Their Challenge #19 begins Monday, October 21, 2019, and Challenge #20 begins October 28, 2019. To play along with them, I have made two cards. This is the card for the second week (#20). To view my card for the first week, click HERE.

Here are the requirements for Double Trouble:
Thing 1: (required) Use at least three colors from their list posted on the challenge blog.
Thing 2: (optional) Partner with Crafting Happiness Challenge #19 (Halloween colors theme) and/or #20 (Halloween theme).
Thing 3: (optional) Include something that flies.

All the elements of my card were cut from dies. The night sky was backed with white cardstock, The leaves and pumpkins were colored with Copic Alcohol Markers then everything was adhered to the night sky. This was adhered to the card base using foam tape. The inside was lined with white cardstock, stamped with "Happy Halloween" and decorated with a couple of the little die cut colored pumpkins.

Be sure to visit the challenge blogs for DTC #41 and Crafting Happiness for guidelines to play along with us.

  1. Love that cat on the broomstick - he is in perfect position for a nighttime scene. The gathering of pumpkins in the corner adds that little extra touch to your card.

  2. Halloween is big here, but I've never gotten into it. Except for the candy part. I've gotten into that, literally, lol!! Your card with that cool cat on the broom may change my mind, Melanie! I love that image and you've showcased it perfectly in front of the full moon and night sky! Great coloring on your pumpkin punctuation, too!! Hugs, Darnell
