Welcome to my blog. I miss the peaceful transition from winter to spring that I remember from my time in Arizona. But I am pleased that in southeast Tennessee, signs of spring are popping up everywhere. My yard is a riot of color with tulips and hyacinths, and the irises will not be far behind. The rain followed by sunshine has done its work. And Easter will be here soon!
My card for TSOT Challenge #668 has a springlike Easter theme, although it is not required. I used the sketch below for inspiration. This biweekly challenge runs through Sunday, April 27,2025.
Using green cardstock for the card base, a matte of white was adhered, followed by panel of pink patterned paper. A triangle was cut from paper with colorful pastel butterflies matted with a green print. The stamp set that has been unused for a while came to mind when I was looking for floral inspiration for my card. I liked the "wonky" flowers. The leaves and flowers were stamped, colored, fussy-cut, and adhered with foam tape to the patterned layers.
The sentiment was stamped directly to the card front and the inside was lined with a panel of white cardstock and decorated with another flower. A coordinating greeting was included inside the card as well.
To view the Design Team's cards and join the challenge, visit the TSOT 668 Blog and be sure to look at our sister challenge, Double Trouble #189, too.
Wishing you a happy spring!
Melanie
