Congrats - You Did It!

Occasionally I use digital stamps. I downloaded this one from A Day for Daisies to use in the Can You Case It? Sketch Challenge #75.

Using a pink card base, a panel of blue cardstock was adhered to the front. The inside was decorated with a white cardstock panel stamped with a border design.

The image was printed on white cardstock and colored with Spectrum Noir alcohol markers. The sentiment was stamped and the right edge of the panel was cut using a cloud border die. The panel was backed with craft foam to lift it off the card. The white panel was adhered to the card base and a blue pearl was added next to the sentiment.

For some lovely digital images, visit A Day for Daisies and for challenge fun, drop by CYCI#75.

  1. What a sweet card Melanie! I love that image, perfect with the scalloped edge...it looks like she's floating in the clouds. Fantastic!! :)

  2. Oh, Melanie, I just saw this on SCS and commented, but I really love the extra photos you have to show the dimension of your card! It's adorable, and I'm so glad you've gotten into digi stamps! Aren't they fun? And they don't take any space in our craft rooms - yay! Hugs!

    1. Thank you, Cheryl. I see lots of possibilities with digital. Just wish I had a better quality printer - something to consider when this one wears out. And space in my sewing/craft room is at a premium!

  3. Who wouldn't love this sweet, whimsical design, which like a beloved storybook, features a sunshiny umbrella, bluebirds, and a dear little barefooted girl?! The details, such as the (faux?) stitching along the edge of the clouds and pretty border inside the card are the icing on the cake!

  4. P.S. Perhaps you would like to take a look at this image on my Pinterest page... https://www.pinterest.com/marycooke/stitches-and-smudges/

  5. Melanie, this is genius, your design is outstanding!!! Thanks for joining CYCI :) Eva

  6. This is really nice designed card...such soft colors and the cloud looks so soft too. Is the stitching in the die, or did you do it by machine...beautiful sweet card.

  7. Your coloring caught my eye! What a cute card! Thanks for joining us at CYCI this week!
