While my husband was watching NFL football Sunday afternoon, I decided to leave him to it and make a card. Inspiration came from two sources:
1. Pals Paper Arts #283 Color Challenge
2. Aud Sentiments #146 Thank You Card
A panel of white cardstock was stamped in Mint Macaron ink with a background stamp that reminds me of looking through a screen door. That panel was adhered to a panel of black cardstock and then to a card base of Melon Mambo.
On two panels of water color paper, flowers were stamped with Versamark ink and heat embossed with black embossing powder. The flowers were colored using an Aqua Painter and Melon Mambo ink. A little of the background was also colored using the same method with Mint Macaron ink. The flowers intended for the card front were fussy cut and popped up with craft foam on the card front. The other panel was left whole and was adhered to the inside of the card with a stamped sentiment.
The sentiment was stamped on white cardstock, then three ovals were die cut,
adhered to one another and popped up with craft foam. The butterfly was stamped on water color paper with Stazon ink and colored with Stampin' Write markers. The butterfly was punch cut along with another in black. They were attached to one another and adhered onto the edge of the ovals. Three black gems were added to the sentiment ovals.
