1. Can You Case It? #102 Sketch Challenge
2. Inkspirational #99 Designers Choice, Thank You with Something New. My "Something New" was the hibiscus die.
3. The Paper Players #277 Color Challenge: Tempting Turquoise (TT), Melon Mambo (MM), Real Red (RR), Whisper White (WW)
A panel of WW cardstock was texture embossed in a brick pattern, sponged with MM ink, backed with MM cardstock and craft foam. The focal image was die cut and paper pieced with all four colors of cardstock. The center of the white flower was inlaid with TT cardstock and sponged with MM. The leaves were paper pieced in TT but then colored over with a TT marker to darken them. The Hummingbird image was stamped with MM ink on WW cardstock, die cut then backed with a lacy die cut in RR and backed with craft foam.
The sentiment was stamped and punched from WW cardstock. It was adhered to another punched tag in RR and backed with craft foam. The pieces were assembled and adhered to the TT panel. then to the WW card base. The inside of the card was stamped with a small flower and the hummingbird image, leaving sufficient space to write a note.

ReplyDeleteThank you so much for joining CYCI this week :) Eva
Mel, one of my first card challenges with Color Dare was with the hibiscus and the die cut was so similar to the one on Cricut. Strange I had just looked at my Pinterest folder today before this was posted to take a look at that card again because I wanted to use it for the Color Challenge. Of course your has so much more color in it and the combination of colors is so pretty. It's so much fun when you can combine your one card to three challenges all purposely not just by chance. A beautiful Thank You card.

ReplyDeleteYour hibiscus is every so pretty, and the hummingbird is a fabulous added touch! My parents have a hibiscus in their home, in northern Alberta, and oh, how I love it! Your card captures its bold red beautifully! Thank you for sharing your 'new goodies' in the Inkspirational gallery!
