Origami Crane

When I saw the Inkspirational Challenge #103 I immediately thought of a stamp set I've had for a few weeks but had not yet used. My primary goal was to use geometric shapes and keep it CAS (clean and simple) and I believe that was accomplished. I also think it could be a masculine card.

The crane was stamped and fussy cut and the edges darkened with a black marker. Three triangles were punched but then it was decided to punch three more in gray for shadow. The green trees were stamped off with a zigzag pattern for boughs. The panel of white cardstock was stamped off with hexagons to mimic clouds. The triangles stamped behind the bird are intended to indicate flight and speed. A panel of DSP was adhered to the card base, then the stamped white panel was added. The gray cardstock trees for shadow were adhered and then the middle tree was adhered flat to its shadow. The two other trees were popped up with foam tape. The crane was also popped up. The inside of the card was lined with DSP and a panel of white with a  crane stamped for decoration. Sufficient space remains for writing a message.

  7. This is a really cool design - while keeping with the geometric theme. I love the hexagon background and the crane flying overhead. Very creative while still maintaining the CAS idea.
