Marvella Mermaid
Today's card is being made for the 3-2-1 Challenge #190 at The Crafter's Café, scheduled to begin on February 15, 2018. The challenge ends Tuesday, February 27 at 7 pm US Mountain Time. The items assigned to the DT are 3 papers, 2 butterflies and 1 flower, which seems odd for an undersea image but I made it work. After all, in "Card-land" we use imagination and artistic license all the time!
The three decorative papers are the background, which is a recycled Kleenex box, the gold foil and the green embossed foil. The image, Marvella Mermaid, was downloaded from Rick St. Dennis, resized, colored with Copics and fussy cut. It was adhered to gold foil and fussy cut again, then adhered to the background paper with foam tape, along with the green foil die cut seaweed and the punch cut butterflies. A white flower was heat embossed using a Versamark pen and gold glitter embossing powder and a few dots with a Copic marker. The glass droplets were also adhered onto the drawn bubbles. The elements were adhered to a card base of Pool Party on white with a strip of gold foil. Two butterflies were cut from the background paper and adhered to the inside. I chose not to use a sentiment - I will wait until the right occasion comes along.
