Welcome Home
My sister-in-law has been seriously ill with a blood infection and has been hospitalized since September 5, 2018. After this long illness and recovery she was finally released to come home a few days ago. I made this card for her arrival home. My card is also for the Brown Sugar Monthly Challenge #289 beginning April 5 through April 30, 2019. The theme is "Spring or Fall." Since I live in the Northern Hemisphere, I stuck with a spring theme.
The image and inside sentiment were downloaded, resized, printed and colored using Copic markers and Wink of Stella. The image was die cut. A panel of cardstock was embossed and then die cut to use as a mat for the image. Onto a white card base, A panel of patterned paper was adhered. The corners were hand cut to match the die cuts. The focal panel was adhered to the card with foam tape for dimension. The inside of the card was decorated with a scrap of embossed cardstock and a sentiment.
My card for the BSC #289 has been mailed but the challenge is now underway. There is a prize for a randomly drawn winner!
