Thinking of You

Thinking of You

With the deadline approaching, I decided to enter another card in the Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge #94. I love pretty paper so decided to use cardstock and paper from one of my favorite paper packs - "Brushed" from Close to My Heart.

The card base is the green cardstock from the paper pack. I adhered the yellow cardstock and then the pink bokeh paper. The larger banner is cut from the green cardstock and the smaller from yellow floral paper. I snipped a little fringe on the bottom of the smaller banner and added a curl using a bone folder. All of the flowers and leaves were fussy cut from a piece of floral paper from the same paper pack. I curled the petals and leaves using the bone folder before adhering to the card. The flowers are popped up on a piece of foam tape. I stamped the sentiment across the top directly onto the paper because I did not want to cover the paper with a label. I added the horizontal zig-zag element, which also came from the pack. Adding yellow rhinestones to the top edge and the flower center, I finished the card by adding clear Wink of Stella to the pink flowers, which does not show well in the photo. Join in the fun at the Atlantic Hearts blog!

Technique: Fussy cutting, stamping

Recipe:  "Brushed" Collection by Close to My Heart for all paper and cardstock, Stampabilities Cute Border Mix for the sentiment, Studio G for the rhinestones and 3M foam tape to pop up the flowers, Memento Tuxedo Black ink.
