Dressy or Casual?

03/07/2017 Update: Honorable Mention at Watercooler Wednesday Challenge #108.

Flowers and wavy die cut vs. burlap and wood - dressy or casual? The inspiration for this card came from a sketch using paper that I saw on another blog and later purchased.
Two panels of cardstock were layered onto the white card base with the top layer having been texturized with an embossing folder. Next were the panels of paper that were backed with foam tape for dimension. A square of frayed burlap was adhered, then a die cut was adhered with foam tape, then the little flower was added.
I have been learning brush script so I wrote the sentiment myself directly onto the paper. The inside was decorated with die cut circles from the same set of dies that were used on the front of the card.

  1. How brave you were to wait until you were finished to add the "hello", Melanie! It is beautiful though and looks like a stamp! I love the texture and layers you added to this pretty card.

    1. I figured I could always cover it up with a stamped banner if I flubbed the script! There is one small blob but I was still okay with it. Thank you for your kind words.
