Berry Botancial

9/23/2018 Update: "Berry Botanical" has been selected as a Weekly Favorite in the Splitcoast Stampers Gallery for the week ending 9/22/2018.

The card I made for a color challenge makes good use of some pretty patterned paper I have. Color My Heart Color Dare #311 is open for some fun. Visit the blog and enjoy the challenge. The requirement is to match the colors closely but the precise colors are not required. Find something in your stash and use it! This is a biweekly challenge.

A panel of patterned paper was adhered to a white card base. The frame was die cut, as well as the sentiment and its shadow, then adhered to the patterned paper. The sentiment was backed with foam tape to provide some dimension. White flowers were colored with Copic markers and adhered. The dragonflies were also die cut. The dragonflies and the sentiment were highlighted with Glossy Accents. The inside of the card was decorated with patterned paper and a die cut dragonfly.

We welcome you to join us at the Color My Heart Color Dare Challenge #311 by visiting our blog.

  2. I like the frame on the patterned paper, it breaks it up and creates a nice interest spot with the flowers.

  4. Melanie, this is a beautiful card...love everything about it and you didn't seem troubled with the saffron color like a bunch of us did.
